Kaabia’s Guide to
Styling Vacations Like
a Bride on a
Sartorial Mission
It was a Fashioncation in Mykonos for her this year. When it comes to aligning your wardrobe for a long awaited vacation, dilemmas arise from an unknown horizon like a drunk sun from the sea. First being the million dollar question or more in the plural sense, as to where to dock our boat for the tourist habitats, shopping sprees, and choosing your wardrobe for that swoon-worthy Instagram update. All of that being of vital importance as we get the beachy flip flops out to walk the streets, something we never do back home. Going to the ibiza-esque but much less drunk island of Mykonos, Kaabia recounts her planning for the infamous bachelorette Mykabanos, right from where to go what to wear.
Creating the
glamazon effect
It’s a beach mood after-all, and the key for Kaabia lies in going all out but looking effortless at the same time. The sartorial bride-to-be finds her wardrobe leaning more towards the boho-luxe vibe combining comfort with some very Boheme outfit goals. For Kaabia, beach fashion can speak comfort with flowy silhouettes in clothing, much like what she donned on her bachelorette styling casual outfits with bold accessories. Bringing the accent of Coachella to the revamped classic beach look, she goes for a mix of Bohemian with French Riviera.
Sporting the Trend
P.S -Beach essentials in her designer bag are unusually different.
One can call it an art to organise a look and then organise the accessories within which she organises her need-to-carry materials for the vacation. In the case of the trend classic this year, micro bags call for an assortment of must-have products with a suitable size for the holiday look.
She sports the Clear Kabanos bag on her bachelorette that she pairs with her swimsuits walking around town while stashing the bills in the tiny silk pouch present in the bag and picking the bare minimum to put in. It's also the season of going hands-free with the hand-helds as the new Designer belt-bags bring about a fashion renaissance from the very suburban tourist fanny-pack to the revamped belt bag. Kaabia relinquishes her free-spirit while styling her accessories as she steps out of the box wearing her Grau Mini Disco on the shoulder or even across the body, removing the mundane from the trend entirely. It's a bold yet fashionably chic move, that works with beach outfits.
The Big Jewellery
&
Bold Bikinis
Going with the Grecian meets French Riviera outlook, Kaabia pairs plumed ear cuffs with a fringed bikini top on her brunch- or shall we say brunch by the sea. Jewellery acts as a natural highlighter to make you stand out amongst the hoard of bikini and make-up clad women, that too with minimal effort.
She sports popping tones of floral inspired earrings on an expanse of white, for the expedition days teamed up with a mini bag carrying the bare essentials, adding the much needed colour on your skin, since doing make-up that will eventually melt is out of the option!
So much to do,
So little time
Kaabia’s most recommended list covets her two favourite spots
that should not be missed if travelling to the greek island anytime!
One of my favourite spots is Scorpio’s -if I have to call anywhere else my second home this would be it. Its located near the Paraga and Kavos Beach, on the sun-drenched southern tip of Mykonos , this place encompasses a beach , a whitewashed stone house ,custom built stages for daily sunset rituals , and ample open air terraces spilling onto the beatific Cycladic coastline.”
KAABIA GREWAL
OUTHOUSE FOUNDER
Scorpios is a popular spot frequented at least once for the entire party island experience, serving great food along with sunbathing spots, an experience which must not be passed in any chance. Coming down from the beach and food extravaganza, the focus goes onto the shopping leg of the vacation. Kaabia recommends going down to the Nammos Village, for the deluxe shopping experience starting with her favourite brand from the island called ‘Caravana’ - only found at Mykonos along with ‘Rosina’ a uniquely themed perfumery. From thereon followed by quaint Pop-Up stores of Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Linda Farrow, Kaabia recommends grabbing a satisfying lunch along with the equally satisfying shopping, at the Nammos Restaurant.
It's all about resonating the positive vibes from nature within yourself that lend confidence in carrying off whatever fashion statement you want to.
